Cooperating Agencies:
Rutgers Cooperative Extension, New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station, USDA and the
Hunterdon County Board of Chosen Freeholders
This report reflects a summary of the research and extension demonstration projects conducted in North
Jersey during the 1999 growing season. The majority of the projects were conducted at the Rutgers,
Snyder Research and Extension Farm in Pittstown, NJ. Some projects were conducted in cooperation with
growers' on their farms. We wish to acknowledge their support and cooperation in conducting these
studies and evaluations. In addition articles reflecting our work in 1999 are reprinted in this report for
your information and use.
We wish to thank Ed Dager, Farm Supervisor at the Rutgers, Snyder Farm for all his support and good
