1Names: Trade name begins with capital letters; common names with small.

2Type: A = acaricide, B = bactericide, F = fungicide, GR = growth regulator, H = herbicide, I = insecticide, and N =

Nematicide.

3Formulations: LD50 values given are for formulated material as you would purchase it; for example, 50WP, 4E, etc.,

unless noted as TECH. TECH (technical material) refers to the pesticide in pure form (usually 95-100% active ingredient)

as it is manufactured by a chemical company prior to being formulated into wettable powders, dust, emulsifiable

concentrates, granules, etc. Formulated materials have the following abbreviations: D = dust, E or EC = emulsifiable

concentrate, F = flowable, G = granular, L = liquid, LC = liquid concentrate, SC = soluble concentrate, SP = soluble

powder, WDG = water dispersible granules, and WP = wettable powder. The number before the abbreviation indicates the

percentage or pounds of active ingredient per gallon. Example: 2E = 2 pounds emusifiable concentrate; 50WP = 50%

wettable powder.

4Use class: R = restricted use and G = general use. Chemicals designated as general or resticted use as determined by

state or federal agencies. Restricted use may not apply to all formulations.

5Category: I = danger-poison, II = warning, and III = caution. Chemicals with multiple designations are based on product

and/or formulation differences.

6Reentry: D = spray has dried or dust has settled, 24 = 24 hours, and 48 = 48 hours. A 24 hour reentry time is required for

all Category I pesticides in New Jersey unless the label requires a longer interval or NJDEP Bureau of Pesticides has

designated a 48 hour reentry interval. Chemicals with multiple designations are based on product and/or formulation

differences.

7LD50 = milligrams of substance per kilograms of body weight of the test animal. > = higher than the figure listed, ALD =

Actual lethal dose. Source: 1986 Farm Chemicals Handbook, information is listed as supplied by manufacturer.
